Nice!! Borderlands is coming to next gen console in the form of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, March 24 for the US and March 27 for the rest of us chumps. Sadly this does not include the first Borderlands game, but will include remastered versions of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel including all DLC available before March 24th. This means all customisable character content and playable classes as well.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will be reintroducing 4-player split-screen co-op… like on the same screen. Omg yes!! I’m TOTALLY excited for this… it’s super nostalgic playing with your buddies on the same screen and being able to see what they’re doing and where they are… sometimes to their annoyance. Plus my TV has had an upgrade since the days of split-screen so I KNOW it’s gonna look dope.
The new collection will also allow for transfer of your existing game data from your previous gen consoles. I was a super hoarder and have built up some badass loot and characters so I’m stoked I don’t have to start again. I get a bit attached to what I’ve created.
If you’re rich enough and live in America, you could get your hands on one of 5,000 Claptrap-in-a-Box Editions of the game, featuring a fully functional Claptrap robot and some other stuff I don’t care about. For about 400 bucks.
He uses a gyro to balance on his one wheel and is controlled via an app on your iOS or Android device. Pretty sweet. Claptrap also has a camera for an eye which is fed live back to your device as well. For spying on people I guess? Or taking photos of stuff cause CBF getting off the couch.
Trust me, if I had $400 right now I’d be getting one… oh and also IF THEY HAD ANY IN AUSTRALIA. There’s that. We get super ripped off with a LOT of limited editions of games. It’s usually about 10 units for the entire country, if any. You peeps do realise Aussies are a big gaming demographic… lots of us are super hardcore gamers, we do have the internet and lightbulbs and stuff here now. No kangaroos in our backyard, either.
Oh well… at least I’ve got my little life-sized talking Peter Dinklage Destiny Ghost to keep me company. I’m sure his voice is far easier on the ears, too.

GameStop US will be selling the Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition for PS4 here and Xbox One here any day now, shipping only to US addresses. Get in quick though. There’s only 5,000 of those little guys out there!
